William West Anderson (September 19, 1928 – June 9, 2017), an American actor best known for his portrayal of Gotham City’s wealthiest son, Bruce Wayne and his alter ego, Batman in the 1960s Television series Batman. He reprised the role in the 1966 theatrical feature film of the same name. To this day Adam West is considered by many as the best to ever don the cape and cowl.
